Before proceeding, make sure you are in Basic View by choosing View > Basic

MathType™ 6.6

1. In MathType™, choose Preferences > Cut and Copy Preferences.
2. Select MathML or TeX and choose Plain TeX from the list.
3. Check Include translator name in translation.
4. Choose Format > Inline Equation
5. Create your math expression in MathType™.
6. Select the expression and copy it by choosing Edit > Copy or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C.
7. In Acces4, select or add a problem and open the Visual Editor. (For more information about opening and using the Visual Editor, see the article Editing a Problem Using the Visual Editor. For more information about adding a problem, see the article Creating Your Own Problems)
8. Position the cursor where you want to paste the expression, then paste by choosing Edit > Paste or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.
9. Your code will now be surrounded by a green box, indicating that it is a math expression. (If you get a red box when you paste into Acces, you may have forgotten to select "Inline Equation" in step 4. Press Ctrl+Z to undo and start again from step 4)
10. You can change the position of the math expression by clicking inside the green box, then using the Alignment buttons on the toolbar.
11. Click OK to return to the Document Window.

Using MathType™ 6.6 with Windows™ 7 Math Input Panel

1. Choose Edit > Open Math Input Panel
2. Write your math expression in the Math Input Panel, then click Insert.
3. Your math expression will be brought into MathType™.
4. Select the expression and copy it by choosing Edit > Copy or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C.
5. In Acces4, select or add a problem and open the Visual Editor. (For more information about opening and using the Visual Editor, see the article Editing a Problem Using the Visual Editor. For more information about adding a problem, see the article Creating Your Own Problems)
